Researcher's Trail
A short searching and story game where you click stuff, crumple stuff, open stuff, and find little secrets that tell a short story, about a missing researcher.
This is a very small game made in 2 days for the Mini Jam #177
- Hand-drawn art-style
- Casual gameplay
- Multiple secrets and hidden items to find
- Each hidden object found reveals a bit about what might have happened
Use mouse to click around on objects to interact
Ex: Clicking on bush may allow you to crumple it and it might reveal something hidden within that you are looking for!
Zoom In/Zoom Out: Use scroll-wheel
Pan Camera: Hold Right-Mouse-Button and drag
Hope you enjoy <3
I was not able to implement as much variety as I wanted to, into the interaction system due to the limited time of the game jam.
This is my first game focusing more on narrative so please do leave feedback! It would mean a lot!

very cozy and well polished. Well done!
Hi! Very cool and cozy game. I really like the artistic vibe of Hidden Folks, and even more so the storytelling through the hidden items, the mystery, and the little twist at the end. I hope to see more little stories come out, with more varied interactions. It's really good work for just 2 days! :D
